Anxiety
Anxiety is your body’s natural response to stress. It’s a feeling of fear or apprehension about what’s to come. This activates your autonomic nervous system, which produces your fight-or-flight response. Fight-or-flight is designed to help you defend yourself or run away from danger. This releases the stress chemical cortisol which is harmful to both your bodies mental and physical health.
With the use of Laff Therapy and my coaching I will teach you how to activate your parasympathetic nervous system, which will bring about relaxation and relieve anxiety.
Addiction, self-medicating, difficulty concentrating, excessive worry, feeling tense, irritability, muscle-tension, headaches, problems sleeping, feelings of fear, restlessness and fatigue are all symptoms of anxiety.
Objective of Laff Therapy
- Identifying and recognizing where a client’s anxiety is coming from.
- Teaching clients coping techniques to help reduce anxiety or panic attacks.
- Teaching clients to recognize what triggers their anxiety.

Depression
Are you suffering from major depression? What does someone suffering from depression look like? Symptoms of depression include experiencing feelings of sadness, tearfulness, emptiness, hopelessness, angry outbursts, irritability and frustration.
Depression can also cause a loss of interest or pleasure in most or all normal activities, such as sex, hobbies, sports and sleeping. Laff Therapy uses the technique of acknowledging your state of depression and laughing about your condition and related issues to learn about your moods, feelings, thoughts and behavior to help alleviate feelings of depression.
Objective of Laff Therapy
- Teaching clients about foods that have higher levels of omega-3 and are most beneficial for fighting off depression. (berries, yogurt, broccoli, vitamin D, B12).
- Teaching clients how to develop critical thinking skills.
- Teaching clients how to be more optimistic and to have hope.
- Boost client’s self-esteem and self-efficacy using Laff Therapy.

Stress
Stress is a natural human response that prompts us to address challenges and threats in our lives. Everyone experiences stress to some degree. Stress can cause you to feel irritable, angry, impatient anxious, nervous, over-burdened or overwhelmed.
Laughter reduces the level of stress hormones like cortisol, epinephrine (adrenaline) and dopamine and it increases the levels of health-enhancing hormones, like endorphins.
Laughter increases the number of antibody-producing cells we have working for us and enhances the effectiveness of T cells. This means a stronger immune system and a decrease in the chance of heart attack or stroke.
When chronic stress goes unreleased it suppresses the body’s immune system and ultimately manifests as illness.

- Teaching clients Laff Therapy breathing and stretching techniques.
- Teaching clients the power of positive self-affirmation.
- Teaching clients how to protect their body’s immune system from stress.
- Teaching clients how to keep their mind and body calm.

Relationships
The number one reason any couple comes to therapy is because of issues with communication. Communication is basically how you interact with each other. Not communicating your true wants, needs and emotions are what causes problems in the relationship.
Some people may find it hard to communicate or to express their true feelings because it requires you to connect with your true emotions that are deeply rooted in your subconscious, like shame, hurt in the past, guilt, fear, embarrassment or the fear of being vulnerable.
Objective of Laff Therapy
- Teach clients different forms of communication. (passive-aggressive, assertive, aggressive).
- Teaching clients active listening skills.
- Teaching clients words not to say like why, never and I told you so.
